My Sheri Crafts- #195- Winter

Today at My Sheri Crafts, DT sister, and best of friends, Sue has asked that we make something that represents winter. This will be the last post for MSC this year.
I just had to choose a My Besties image for my last project. :) I love My Besties images. They happen to be my favorite of all! :)
Since it was winter, and not specifically Christmas, I chose to go with warm colors. I imagine sitting by the warm fireplace drinking a cup of hot chocolate. Snuggling up to my hubby and watching a good movie. Oh wait, football season is still in December. We probably would be watching that if it falls on the right day, lol.
Anyway, That's it for this year!
Hugs, and happy crafting,
Sandy.

My Besties International Challenge Blog

I am happy to say, I now am on the My Besties International Challenge DT. :)
The challenge this go around is "Anything Goes"with an option of Fall theme.
This little cutie can be found at the My Besties Etsy store. The image is IMG413.
I have heard her being on the cover of the My Besties Back To School Coloring Book. She looks fabulous colored on the front cover. So perfect for back to school theme.
I went another route with her since fall is in the air. I don't know about you, but I have grand kids that love to go outside and hunt for different colored leaves, etc. They are into bugs on the tree, plants, you name it. They are mostly girls too, lol.
This was an easy card, as I didn't use much supplies. The brown skinny trees in the background are from Memory box called, "Woodland Branch". The other dies I used are from Impression Obsession- Die-079-U (The White Trees), and DIE-095-D (The Leaves). I colored her with my Copics and typed and printed the sentiment. That pretty much is it.
Please come visit us on facebook. We would love for you to share your creations with us there too. Don't forget to enter this challenge for a chance at winning some wonderful My Besties digis!

Hugs, and happy crafting,
Sandy.

Scrapbook Stamp Society

Hello my crafting friends,

I am here to share with you a card that I made for my Scrapbook Stamp Society post using this wonderful My Besties IMG925.
This is one of my favorites so far. I used my favorite color combo on this card. I just think red, white, and black look so classy together. If you are ever stuck on a color combo, just remember you pretty much can't go wrong using these colors together. ;)
I will post the supplies I used at the end of my blog post if you are interested.

I wanted to share another card I made using IMG898. Isn't he a real cutie! Actually, I just found out depending on how you color this image, it could go either way, boy or girl. Oh, shoot, I wish I would have taken a picture showing you both ways.
This is my tip of the day:
This background is so fast and easy to make. My hubby always refers to it as a painted background, lol when all it really is is inks that I have used. If you have a tree stamp, stamp the darkest trees in the front first. Then lighter in the background. All of the trees were stamped with black ink. I pulled out my trusty dauber and inked the trees green. Trying to stay with the darker green out front and then lighter applying with the ink for the background trees. I wiped the dauber and then used light baby blue ink starting with in between the trees at the bottom. Next I used orange ink, and finally I worked up to the top of the sky using yellow ink. That's it! Now you have a pretty cool looking background and no one will believe it only took a few minutes to do. :)

Well, that's it for today!
Come check My Besties out on facebook if you haven't already. We would love to see you there!
Go check out the wonderful images Sherri has been coming out with lately as well. Here is a link to her store.

Hugs, and happy crafting,
Sandy.

My Sheri Crafts- #194- Thanksgiving

Today at My Sheri Crafts, the challenge is "Thanksgiving". It pretty much is self explanatory on this one.:)
I chose a Tilda image. She looks so fitting for a Thanksgiving card don't you think. :)
I used AC Specialty Foil Paper to give it a nice shine. I had a Cuttlebug folder called, " Leaf Branch" I thought seemed very festive. I embossed using it. The background paper is from The Paper Studio, Rust/Mint Geometrics. The other paper is from Miss Caroline, "Dilly Dally"Designer Paper Pad.The sentiment is from Verve Stamps called, " Bountiful Harvest, Harvest Blessings. I colored in with my Copics, and that pretty much is it.

Please come out and participate with us. We would love to see what you have made!

Hugs, and happy crafting!
Sandy.

Happy November! :)

I have good news, I am now a part of the My Besties- Color It Create It Show It Off Challenge Blog DT. The My Besties UK starting January is going all UK.

This image is one of the "Fluffies"from My Besties called IMG006 Fluffy Cafe. She is amazing! I just love her sitting back relaxing drinking her Star Bucks coffee. ;) It could be hot cocoa, where ever your imagination takes you too. :)
I wanted to see if I could make a Christmas card using a non Christmas digi. I think it worked, I hope you do too.
Here is another Christmas card using the same image. I printed her out two different sizes to give you different ideas on what you could do with her.
On the first card, I made the snowmen and the choir book freehand. The stamp is from Paper Inspirations called Art Brush Pine Tree. The music is from Cheery Lynn called, Notes #1. I have her sitting on  Spellbinders, Garden Bench. I colored her with my Copics, and added Stickles Crystal for the snow to finish of the card.

Supplies I used on the second card:
The Paper Studio- Elegant Christmas Trees (and scraps)
Cuttlebug- D'vine Swirls and Swiss Dots (embossing folders)
Couture Creations- Tied Together (embossing folder)
